For businesses in the United States and Canada: Start Your Custom Project

Why Keychron x MKRO
Keychron brings an established range of mechanical keyboards and peripherals. MKRO brings the design and production experience to turn that hardware into a product that feels specific to your brand. This gives businesses a familiar keyboard platform to build on instead of starting a custom hardware program from scratch.
The MKRO team can guide a project from the first concept through design and production.
What can be customized?
Most products manufactured by Keychron can be considered for customization. Depending on the model and project, options may include the keyboard or peripheral, components, keycaps, packaging, and materials included in the box. Third-party products sold in the Keychron catalog are outside this program.
What can you create?
Custom products — Develop branded keyboards or peripherals for a retail collection or marketing campaign.
Gifting — Pair Keychron hardware with products from the MKRO catalog for clients, partners, teams, or communities.
Events and activations — Create branded keyboards or hands-on keyboard-building experiences for conferences, launches, and company events.
Featured Experience: Cursor at Compile 2026
At Cursor’s Compile 2026 event, MKRO and experiential agency Wonder created an interactive keyboard-building experience. Guests assembled functional keyboards using Keychron components and branded accessories, with the MKRO team guiding the workshop on site. It shows how a custom hardware project can become part of an event, not just an item handed out afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an MOQ, and how much does it cost?
Full customization starts at a minimum order quantity of 100 units. For orders under 100 units, more limited customization options are available. For reference, if you only want to customize the keycaps, the price is the keyboard’s retail price plus the cost of the custom keycaps, which typically run $20–$50 per set for smaller orders. Final pricing depends on the model and the level of customization. For a quote, contact MKRO at partner@mkro.studio (United States and Canada) or Keychron at jocelyn@keychron.com (all other regions).
Who is the Keychron x MKRO partnership for?
This partnership is designed for businesses and organizations in the United States and Canada that want to use custom Keychron products for marketing, retail, gifting, events, activations, or other branded programs. Businesses in other regions can work with Keychron directly.
How long does a custom Keychron project take?
Custom orders typically take about 3–4 months to design, produce, and deliver. Faster options may be possible when the customization is more limited. Share your target date at the start of the conversation.
Which keycaps are best for custom projects?
Most businesses choose dye-sub PBT keycaps for their wide range of color options. PBT keycaps resist oil buildup better than ABS keycaps, and dye-sub legends are highly resistant to fading and wear.
